Spongebob nails

Some more nailart. This time featuring characters from Spongebob Squarepants. The most challenging part was Spongebob who I just ended up doing a quick fucked up painting. The most success I had with my thumb with Kari!

Hands

Some sketches of hand positions since I suck at these. Some are modeled off my non dominant hand and some of my dominant (boy was that a pain)

I love how the one with the glass came up! Overall, very happy with the results!

Winter themed nails

For some weird reason, seeing the summer has just begun, I felt like getting my nails done with a much chillier theme. For my thumb I created a simple penguin and I just kinda went from there. A chilly winter night, a snowflake, christmas decoration and a snowman!

The snowman was so much fun to do! Such small, simple and yet delicate swipes. The landscape was done by patting an almost dry white layer on top of a lightblue one. I then added a few spots of blue and painted the trees bu patting as well.

My palette and the nailpolishes I used. The red one is by Devotion and it is called tango. I usually use a toothpick and the cover of a pringles can as my brush and palette. It gives ME more precision. Just a thing I like to do.

Feel free to leave a comment and suggest what I should do next!

House MD Nails

As I was watching the first season finale of House M.D. I started working on my nails since the Bubble Bobble nails I previously showed started to come off.

Here's what I came up with! *mwah*

For the skin I used a mixture of white, orange and a hint of yellow. The closest I could get to actual skin tone with my fucked up collection. The rest of the nails followed up on the theme. A blue pill, pill, syringe and M.D. Logo.

Leave a comment and a suggestion for more! :)

Bubble Bobble nails

So this blog is obviously off to a GREAT start- seeing that the first post i make is already completely off topic but c'mon I have to show these fabulously themed nails I created with my crappy nailpolishes today. Took me around 80 minutes (2 episodes of House MD)

Do YOU remember an old game called bubble bobble? Well, it's a game with a lot of memories for me. My brother and I used to play it at my godmother's house and I always had to be the green dragon. He's like my spirit animal and shit. Anyways keep in mind that I'm only starting out and critique is advised!

Starting from my thumb: Bubble bobble 'logo' thingy
Index finger: Bub
Middle finger: Some bubbles
Ring finger: Bob
Pinky: Plain black

The most successful nail is the one with the green dragon: Bob. It was the first nail I did and thus my hands weren't shaky and I wasn't yet frustrated. Bub on the otherhand is a total fail. Makes me want to slap myself. But the learning IS a process.

Here are some products I used in making of these.

The OPI one is a shade called That's berry daring. I personally love it because its so thick to paint with and I got loads of it left so.. :) it was used on the dragons's feet and around the logo. the white is a random nailpolish from China but I LOVE it! Used on details on balloons and dragons <3 Lastly Miss Selene was cheap and too see through for my taste but its my only yellow. Used on logo and Bob.

Firstly: a random black nailpolish from china: LOVE IT. Pink is Wild And Crazy's and I hate it. Its bright which is a good thing but the finish is too matte. Ugh. The last two are from Lumene and they're so pretty! Green is called Go Crazy and the blue one is Live it up :) they're sparkly and pretty: altough seethrough.

Lastly I finished off with a seethrough Top coat just to get rid of the pink matte-look. <3
